"Receiving the grant has enabled me to invest in essential equipment to start my new business" Simon Box - SB Plumbing & Heating

We are looking to help unemployed people, with skills and ideas for business start-ups,  to turn their plans into reality.

Achieving successful business start-ups directly helps the individuals and their families, and also brings benefits to the wider community.  They help boost the local economy, invigorate communities and reduce the reliance on state hand-outs.

Whilst the funding required by a new small enterprise will vary, our experience has shown that in many cases two or three thousand pounds can make all the difference to the achievement of a successful start-up.

It is very difficult, particularly for unemployed people, to source the necessary start-up funding.

We are, therefore, looking to put together a 'funding pot' to which would be entrepreneurs can apply for financial support.

Building upon the successful model that we have been operating with the Bideford Bridge Trust for the past 19 years, we will have a 'dragons den' style panel to which applicants will have to submit their business plan and pitch their business idea.

Can you help us?
